Lawn care software for programs, routes and application records

A six-step fertilization program, a mowing route that has to make sense on a map, and an application record the state can ask for. TradesBackbone runs lawn care as programs and routes rather than one-off jobs — the lawn pack relabels the app to match, and the crew's phone shows the day in driving order.

The Lawn Care pack is pre-selected when you start from this page.

How a lawn care shop runs on TradesBackbone

5 workflows your crews and your office share on one record. Everything below exists today.

Seasonal programs that schedule themselves

Pro and up

Set a customer on a Seasonal Program or Per Application cadence and the next visit is generated when it is due. The Program Progress Report shows who is on step three of six and who has not been touched since April.

Route order with drive time, crews by day

Pro and up

Assign a crew to Tuesday, then let route order propose the sequence with drive time per leg. Apply it when it looks right and the crew's phone sorts by that order. The promised window never moves on its own.

Application record on every visit

The lawn pack adds an Application Record field (product, rate, target) to each job and puts your State Pesticide/Fertilizer License # on the compliance screen. The Application Summary Report pulls it all together when the inspector asks.

Estimates for the aeration and seeding upsell

Fertilization, Weed Control, Aeration, Mowing, Pest & Disease and Seeding categories come seeded. Text the aeration estimate after the visit, the customer taps Approve, and it is on the schedule.

Invoice per application or per month, paid by card

Invoice each application as it is done, or run batch invoicing at month end to invoice every completed, uninvoiced visit in one pass. Card and ACH links on every invoice, cards on file for program customers, and automatic reminders when one goes overdue.

Lawn Care questions, answered

Straight answers about how TradesBackbone runs a lawn care business.

Can TradesBackbone run a multi-step fertilization program?+

Yes, on Pro and Elite. A recurring program on the customer carries the cadence (the lawn pack offers Per Application and Seasonal Program), price and route day, and the next visit is generated when it is due. The Program Progress Report shows where each customer is in the program.

Where do I record what was applied?+

The lawn pack adds an Application Record field (product, rate, target) to every job. Your State Pesticide/Fertilizer License # sits on the Licensing & compliance screen, and the Application Summary Report reads from the job records.

Does it order the mowing route?+

Route order (Pro) proposes the driving sequence for a crew's day with drive time per leg. The dispatcher applies it deliberately, and the crew's phone sorts by that order. It never changes a customer's promised window by itself.

Can I bill once a month instead of per visit?+

You can invoice as you go, or run batch invoicing at month end: it lists every completed, uninvoiced visit (filter by customer or program), creates the invoices in one pass and sends them by text or email together. Each invoice carries a card or ACH payment link.

What does the lawn pack change in the app?+

The recurring feature is labelled Programs, the price book is seeded with Fertilization, Weed Control, Aeration, Mowing, Pest & Disease and Seeding categories, the Application Record and pesticide license fields are added, a Landscaping visit checklist is included, and Program Progress and Application Summary reports are available.
