Landscaping software for maintenance routes and install jobs on one schedule

Maintenance accounts pay the bills every week and installs make the margin — and the same three crews do both. TradesBackbone runs the recurring route and the one-off install on one schedule, with a deposit on the patio estimate, a change order when the client adds the lighting, and photos of the finished bed on the job.

The Lawn Care pack is pre-selected when you start from this page.

How a landscaping shop runs on TradesBackbone

5 workflows your crews and your office share on one record. Everything below exists today.

Maintenance programs that create the next visit

Pro and up

Put a maintenance account on a Seasonal Program cadence and the next visit is generated when it is due. The Program Progress Report shows which accounts are on schedule. TradesBackbone's lawn pack is the one landscaping shops choose; the recurring feature is labelled Programs.

Crews by day, route order with drive time

Pro and up

Assign a crew to a day, then let route order propose the driving sequence with drive time per leg. You apply it deliberately — the client's promised window never moves on its own — and the crew's phone shows the day in that order.

Install estimates with a deposit at approval

Build the hardscape or planting estimate from your price book, text the link, the client taps Approve and is taken straight to pay the deposit you set. The approved estimate becomes the invoice, with draws for a multi-week build.

Change orders when the scope grows on site

Extra drainage, uplighting, another pallet of sod. Raise the change order on the job, send it, the client approves from the link, and the revised contract value is what the invoice reads.

Photos on the job, review ask when it is done

Crews upload before/after photos from the site to the job. Mark it complete and a thank-you and review request go out automatically, 8am to 9pm local, with a Landscaping visit checklist completed on the phone.

What the Lawn Care pack sets up on day one

Landscaping questions, answered

Straight answers about how TradesBackbone runs a landscaping business.

Which pack should a landscaping company choose at signup?+

Lawn Care. It is the pack built for recurring outdoor maintenance: Programs for recurring accounts, Fertilization, Weed Control, Aeration, Mowing, Pest & Disease and Seeding categories, a Landscaping visit checklist and the Application Record field. Add your own hardscape and planting items to the price book; packs are configuration and can be changed in Settings.

Can I run weekly maintenance and one-off installs in the same system?+

Yes. Recurring programs (Pro) generate maintenance visits on their cadence, and installs are ordinary jobs with estimates, deposits, change orders and progress billing. Both sit on the same schedule and dispatch board.

Does it schedule by crew?+

Yes, on Pro and Elite. Crews are named groups of team members; a job is assigned to a crew, and route order proposes the crew's driving sequence for the day with drive time per leg.

Can I take a deposit on a landscape install?+

Yes. Set a deposit on the estimate and the client pays it by card or ACH the moment they approve. Draw invoices and a retainage release are available for longer builds.

How do change orders work mid-install?+

Raise a change order on the job with its own line items, send it as a link, and the client approves it there. The contract value is revised on approval, and the change order history stays on the job.
